POLICE are appealing for information from the public after a theft in Ledbury. The incident occurred at the Tesco supermarket on Orchard Lane on Wednesday 7 December. At just after 4.40pm, three individuals – two men and a woman – entered the store and approached the computer games rack. It appears that, while the woman distracted staff and other customers, the two men filled a bag up with games from the rack and then calmly left the shop with the woman. Having left the store the three individuals walked off up to Homend and then got into a vehicle of some sort and drove away. A police spokesman said: “It appears the thieves stole at least 70 computer games from the rack. These games themselves are specific to several different consoles including the Microsoft Xbox and the Nintendo DS. It is thought that the value of the stolen items could be more than ÂŁ1250. “Police have been given detailed descriptions of the three individuals that entered the shop and made their way to the computer games rack. “The first man is described as being white, as over 6ft tall, in his mid 40s, with a slim build, short dark hair and... We will be getting a new Windows 7 laptop this Christmas, after many years’ familiarity with XP. Computers don’t seem to come with physical media any more, just a recovery partition on the hard disk, and they all seem to come with free trials of various things I don’t want. I think I’ll need to create proper backup disks from the recovery partition, remove as much freeware/trialware as I can, install the software I really want, and so on. What I really need (and I suspect many others would like) is a “Jack’s procedure for what to do after you open the box”. Richard Cowling That’s a lovely idea, but it would need about five blog posts. However, setting up a Windows 7 PC is much the same as setting up an XP machine. You still have to enter the date and time, create user accounts, run Windows Update, and so on. It’s not fun, so if you’re giving a laptop to non-geeky user, try to do all this beforehand, so they can just unwrap it and start using it. There’s an argument for making a backup straight away, but I don’t do this myself, and I suspect no one else does, either. I prefer to go through the initial... Read More.

Article marketing is the process of using written articles to market a product, service, or brand, whether your own or someone else´s. Here´s how it works. Example 1: Say you´re a yoga teacher. You teach live workshops in a studio, run a yoga blog, and produce short yoga videos. Your goals are to drive traffic to your blog and to sell more videos. Article marketing can help you achieve both of these goals. You write ten short, informational articles about yoga. You then submit these ten articles to several online article directories. People who are searching for information about yoga come across your articles, read the information, and – if you´re lucky – click through to your website and buy your videos. Example 2: If you´re marketing someone else´s products instead of your own, the process... Read More.
